That's a great saying. And completely true.Someone mentioned to me earlier, all we are doing is voting for the colour of the snake that bites us.

We voted early this afternoon.
Not another sole there and no tellers outside. The officials inside said that it had been a very quiet day so far.
I put a line through all of the boxes and write 'None' across the names. First time I've ever done that but I honestly couldn't bring myself to vote for any of them.
I live in Theresa May's constituency.

Postal vote here, so didn't need to go along today. Wallasey is a safe Labour seat with Angela Eagle the sitting MP for the last quarter of a century - so academic really.
I'm old enough to remember the last Tory MP who held the seat - Linda Chalker, later Baroness - she of introducing seat belt fame and before her Ernest Marples who worked on the breathalyser - must be something about Tories and cars round our way.
We do have a Brexit candidate this time as it is a safe Labour seat, so be interesting to see how many votes they pick up.
Postal vote for me and. Mrs W, we cast our votes last week.
I’ll watch the TV later tonight, I’m out until around 11:30 so after a few pints I’ll put the TV on whilst eating supper.
As I stated earlier, it was a choice between voting for dumb or dumber, a low- point for British politics in my view.
We gave a brexit candidate in our constituency but it’s a safe Labour seat (Normanton/Pontefract/Castleford), Yvette Cooper is likely to win comfortably.
Which watch did I wear whilst voting? Vintage 1960s pie- pan Constellation’s been on my wrist for the past few days so I guess it was that one, the watch is now running consistently at +2 secs/day after a dose of careful regulating........I’ll settle for that!

Postal vote for me, primarily a Tory seat, but Dominic Grieve has gone independent. So will be interesting to see the outcome.

I went mid morning, as I’m working late today.
Polling Station was relatively busy for the time of day, although the average age of those voting was about 75.
Like many people, I’ve voted tactically, although it is for one of the two parties I flip between.
A die hard Labour voter (huge Corbyn fan) at work, predicts a win for Boris!
I wore a broken watch,not sure it's worth the Labour to fix it,I'm a little conservative when it comes to spending.

I voted at 4.30 this afternoon and the polling clerks told me they'd already had over 70% turnout & that they'd never seen it so high before.

Postal vote for me and sent it in around 5 days ago. Wore a Sea Dweller 126600 today and for the last few months.
Off nights, nativity play and then took the hound in the rain. Spoiled my ballot paper and wrote some advice. Probably won't be read but I felt better for it. Sad times.

I decided to go to IKEA and buy a dining table instead. Used a speedmaster to time the journey.
Walked down to vote just now. Pretty busy with people walking to and from. I was wearing this.
Looking forward to watching from 10pm - the highlights hopefully with some big names to failing to win their seats...
That would be good to see. There are some particularly odious characters that I would love to see get the smiles wiped off their privileged faces - to keep it on topic, I might switch to the Sub for the results.

As has been said are any of them worth voting for? Probably not but a couple of the options are seriously scary and its a sad world when boris is the best of a bad bunch

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Busiest i’ve ever seen the polling station. Queue was Halfway down the car park, 30 in front of me. Never been like that before.
I got too wrapped up in the football tonight and reading this thread was the thing that made me realise i forgot to vote. I was gonna go down to the polling station at half time but i got distracted by some fancy ham in the fridge. that probably says more about politics today than it does about me.

As I was a polling assistant, I made sure I was wearing my synced GW-5000 so that we knew precisely when we could open and close the poll. We had 5 people waiting for the opening and the last voter was at 9:57. It was a long day.

We had some characters in during the day.
One rather eccentric lady wrongly assumed her profering her own, her husband's and her son's polling cards entitled her to three votes.
Another confused voter came out of the booth and asked why Boris Johnson wasn't on the ballot paper!!!! We had to tell her he wasn't actually standing in Edinburgh.
The best part of the day was letting the children put their parents' completed ballot papers in the box. The smiles and sense of pride on their faces was great to see.
