I have no idea why the SMP photo is sideways!

But which one? I love the look of both. I prefer the comfort of the SMP, but the Pelagos is just badass in the summer. Which one would you let go of and why?

Very similar looking watches. To me the main difference is the hands. Personally I prefer the sword hands on the Omega over the Snowflake hands on the Tudor.
A Tudor lover will be along shortly to say the complete opposite 😂
I would keep the Tudor.
For context from my perspective aesthetically it's a draw but they have their differences.
OMEGA: Slimmer, easier movement services, more versatile visually. Fragile bezel with frankly bad feel in use.
TUDOR: Modern technology, bombproof ceramic bezel with great precision and feel, titanium is a bit different for my collection. Bit too bulky for an all rounder (for me).
I'm uninterested in value retention, future value etc...

The Pelagos because you wear it on the wrong wrist!
Only joking.

Rocking the Seamaster! A classic 2892-A2 based movement. I prefer those hands too. I vote keep the SMP.
Personally I would ditch both and consolidate into something else. Don't like the SM at all and the black and red date on the Tudor combined with the lume pip really put me off. Also it's harder to set when you haven't been wearing.

Both great watches, I would keep the seamaster
Keep the Tudor.

I'd keep the Tudor.
Keep both 😁
Would keep the Tudor, but very close, two very nice watches
Tudor for me. Nicer looking watch and more to it with the bezel lume and clasp.
Another vote for the Tudor because it’s the nicer watch imo
Keep the Pelagos

SMP does nothing for me, quite dull, of those I'd choose the Tudor.
Hmm....both are great watches; the Pelagos has the titanium case; the Omega has the nicer hands and is thinner and more wearable. I do love the hands and lume (I have the visually identical Seamaster 2264 quartz model) but in your case I'd consider selling both and buying the titanium Seamster 2231.50. If that doesn't appeal to you, keep the current Seamaster.
Another vote to keep the Tudor, more interesting in my opinion and I’d also expect less likely to bump into someone wearing the same kind of watch, but I might be massively underestimating the production numbers of the LHD
SMP’s a classic, definitely the one to keep. The Tudor looks a mess, funny hands, thick Rolex wannabe case, faux aged lume..........no!
I owned an SMP co-axial for many years and sold it - no spark for me. So, yes, I was an owner.
Sounds like you favour the Omega.
Easy choice for me as I don’t like the SMP and though I don’t like snowflake hand,I like titanium and destro watch....keep the Tudor
I would keep the Pelagos, but I prefer newer watches. If it were up against the latest Seamaster, then would be a closer call
I'm a big Tudor fan but don't like the Pelegos much. The 2254.50 is better looking, better sized and the 1120 movement is an excellent timekeeper. I much prefer it to the current crop of Seamasters.
The EXIF data embedded in the photo makes it display sideways. Remove the EXIF data using a free online tool (lots on Google) and save in the orientation you prefer and it will display that way when you upload it.
Lock the Tudor away for a month and wear the Omega solidly for that time and see if you miss the Tudor.
Switch watches and do the same.
Evaluate and get rid of the one you missed wearing the most.
Cheers,
Ben

Tricky. I much prefer the looks of the Pelagos but, for me, comfort on the wrist is non-negotiable.
Keep the Pelagos.
Less common, longer power reserve, fully-lumed bezel, greater WR, epic bezel feel, splash of colour, Ti and lefty.
The Omega is left floundering in its wake
D
But the Omegas still a nicer watch!....in my opinion.
Trying to decide on an objective basis is futile, it’s all about which one people prefer.........it isn’t an Autocar road test where comparing figures is meaningful.
Take the WR for example, how is the difference relevant for the owner?
I don’t know how much help the OP has gained from this thread, it’s his opinion that counts and it’s his decision.
One factor to consider; even though the SMP is a fairly common watch, really good examples are getting harder to find. If this one’s in excellent condition it would be difficult to replace in the future, there’s a lot of poor/ mediocre ones out there. It’s also likely to prove cheaper to service and maintain.
Objectively, the SMP bezel insert is more susceptible to damage and replacement means a new bezel. For some crazy reason the inserts have never been available as a separate part even though they’re easy to remove (once the bezel’s off, which isn’t simple).
For anyone who uses the rotating bezel frequently the SMP isn’t ideal, the bezel friction spring must be in good condition and the bezel has to be free from dirt and crud otherwise the action will be stiff. It isn’t easy to grip either, but the owner will know all this because he owns the watch. Slight downwards pressure whilst turning helps, but once the bezels full of dirt it’ll become stiff.....so the owner won’t use it.......and it’ll get even stiffer!
If all else fails the OP should toss a coin.
I would keep the SMP, it's such a classic looking diver. Regret selling mine and miss it.
Thanks for all the feedback.
My feeling is the Tudor is going, it will probably always feel compromised by the thickness and bracelet discomfort.
If I want an oyster style diver then at some point I will probably look at a vintage Tudor Sub, or, sit on a wait list and get the icon. Boring for many, but I'm quite middle of the road in my tastes and generally like classic, iconic designs.

Dump the Tudor... unless you prefer it to the Omega.
Personally I don't like the Pelagos very much.

Choodur stays.
Keep the SMP as getting harder to find. Nice depth if you wear shirts. Value still going north.

I'd keep the Pelagos.
SMP's are fine watches, but pretty well every man and his dog has one.

I really liked the Pelagos when I tried it on in an AD, but it would not be as versatile as the Omega. They are very clearly designed to be a tool watch whereas you could probably get away with dressing the Omega up a bit more if that is a concern for you. Personally it doesn't bother me and I would not only keep the Pelagos but would buy one myself were it not for the fact I already have a 16600, which would limit its wrist time.
Haha, well the Tudor is for sale on another SC (not allowed here yet). Evaluating them based on what they offer me as versatile everyday sport watches, the technical benefits of the Tudor don't make up for it not being comfortable on my wrist.

The OP has decided. Just let it die (after this of course).
