The spring that you pull up after opening the safety clasp is not engaging the rest of the clasp. It is now hanging free. Any idea or thoughts before sending it off to Rolex to and asked to buy a new clasp?
Pictures of the clasp open as above after opening. A real pain to close again but once closed it is secure thankfully.

I had same issue with my Explorer I clasp and my local AD couldn't fix it.
Took it to the Rolex St.James and the technician lady fixed it right in front of eyes in less than a minute.
Your is probably the same issue where you are trying to put the clasp back on the end hole and I think you need to use the second from the end.
At least that's what I believe she did.

But the clasp only has one hole for attachment of one side of the bracelet and the other hole is for the glide lock adjustment side?
