I admire and respect people that take older things, whether expensive or not, and restore/repair them like this.
A polar opposite of Retropower or the Binky lads, so far. Some "creative" panel work at 11.00mins! It's going to be interesting to see how this develops and ends up.

Incredible, will be interesting to see how he gets on.
Those cookie cutter alloys are much underappreciated IMO.
I love the way he says it's 'solid' whilst showing a close up of a heavily rusted sill!
Reminds me somewhat of my old 'solid' MG Midget...........

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Nice vid.
Reminds me of a panel beater I knew years ago when I had the workshop that repaired a write off 911.

Ep3 is up now. He’s got the front end off and it doesn’t actually look that bad.
Nice car, an early 1970s Targa would be my perfect compromise classic 911.
Given it is 45 years old, I reckon that is about as solid as you could ever expect to find now, so good luck to him.
Will he go original or outlaw?
Not sure the video style humour and production really warrant subscribing though.

Part 4 now up. Hope he can weld.

I was looking at some of the comments and he has had multiple offers of free help/parts etc. Good luck to him.
I wish him well, but that car has seen a lot of action even before he got it.
Front and Rear is not original to a 2.7. The doors (which do look as if they might be original) look OK.
He is looking at a mega bill for the engine and all the oil lines - a single line can cost over £600 - I speak from experience. The suspension is looks shot (another £2.5K), he needs to find a set of Fuch alloys (another £2-3K) plus an interior another £3-4K, brakes, etc, etc, etc.
Money pit!!! He might have been better to find a runner for around $30K and start with that.
I hope he goes outlaw, Correct 2.7 front, 2.7 RSR rear end complete with ducktail.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Part 5 just out. It's now mounted on a hi-tech jig, all the better to roll it on to it's side and take a good look beneath.

Subscribed!
He’s building a Flintstones car :)
He needs a better jig (and weld a lot of pipes in the interior).....
