    Monster originality

I have a Gen 1 Black Monster. It needs a service, but it looks like its a better option to just replace the 7S26 movement with a new one.

An option would be to upgrade to an NH35.

As these seem to be appreciating and it might get sold at some point in the future, what would be the impact of an upgraded movement on the originality of the piece and therefore the value?

I'm not too sold fussed about the hacking and handwind, but if it has no impact, it would be nice.

    Thoughts welcome.

    Many thanks!

I would compare service over new like for like replacement movement only.No real need to put a different movement in tbh.....IMO.
And all the above makes no real difference if your going to keep it anyway, and they aren't really that much money.......are they. But for anyone looking for one and yours has the non original movement then your reducing its appeal.

Service OR same new movement if cheaper I'd say.

What are the likely costs of the different options, is it worth looking t making changes for the sake of it.

Put the new movement in, keep the old one if needed to return to original
