    New bond Omega Seamaster

Looks like they’re on the vintage wagon with this one. It’s probably the best looking modern seamaster I’ve clapped eyes on but I guess the faithful seamaster lovers won’t like it?

If they ditched the wart I’d like it.

It looks great on a beige Nato.

I much prefer the blue version, though I like the red logo and tip of the second hand against the black.

I like it! Not a fan of mesh bracelets though. Looks great on the nato strap.

I like the no date look. Maybe tone down the faux lume look and ditch the broad arrow. Perhaps that'll be the next evolution.

...and the dial, which neatly picks up on the trend for "antiqued" timepieces with its "tropical" patina effect, is made from aluminium with a matching bezel in the same material.
    Says GQ.

An appropriate use of scare quotes, I'd say.

I wish they’d ditch these awful renders/heavy PS pics though! Why watch manufacturers think we want to see some cartoon’ised version of a watch I don’t know.

Looks great on the nato. Seamasters generally are not for me, but this is interesting and will do well I’m sure.

I quite like that - would look better without the skeleton hands though.

That beige Nato suits it really well though struggling to see what I would wear with it.

    Maybe this?

Otherwise I really want to like it but the amount of patina between the hour plots and bezel markings is just too much.

If you want a vintage inspired no date diver the Tudor BB58 looks nicer and significantly better value.

It’s like an alternate universe where Rolex never existed and Omega made a 5513. I had a seamaster in the 90’s and didn’t like the hands, the He valve or the rubbish bezel then, and I don’t like them now. Apart from that fantastic! Haven’t looked at the price, is it 3k, 4K, 5k or 6k? No idea how much this kind of special/limited/whatever edition costs nowadays!

It’s not limited edition. And the cost is 8900€. Don’t know what’s the price in £.

There is something off about it! The blue dial is far better looking on this watch

    Beautiful, but too expensive.
I’m sure they’ll sell well though.

  23. #23
Like it...but why didn't they use the sword hands? It's been done before by omega.

Not a huge fan of 'aged' lume to start with, and this seems to have gone a step further. I sure do like that lume though.

Mostly though, that bracelet. I just do not like mesh bracelets on round cases. That gap! It just makes me think it is cheap and aftermarket.

I like it - there’s a bit too much beige going on for my taste but definitely one of my favourite Omega Bonds (the Spectre has got it beat for starters). That price though. Quite a large part of me is starting to hope the seemingly relentless gouging starts coming back to bite the industry in the backside.

I have a question....are omega allowed to use the broad arrow/crows foot, as it's not an issued watch? After all the recent Hamilton khaki pilot pioneer reissue didn't use it and it would have been more relevant.
    Any military watch experts know?

If any of the Broccolis read this, could I make a request that the next Bond has a 6.5 inch wrist. Thanks.

I think they’ve captured something there and I quite like it. Quite a narrow appeal but on the beige nato it has something.

Based on the Hodinkee photos I have to say that I love it. Obviously the price is insane but the watch is stunning IMO.

Nice watch but at that price if you went for that over a Sub Date or a pre owned 50 Fathoms you'd need your head tested

Have just browsed the Hodinkee article and agree - does look great (even with skeleton hands); price is a kicker!

I like the watch, but the fake arrow puts me off. I'm out I'm afraid.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I love it, but the price is crazy, also looks pretty chunky on the wrist.. still it's a good bond watch and way better than that awful commander thing they were peddling a while ago.

I like it (I think), but not sure if I like it enough to pay almost double the cost of a Pelagos LHD for what looks like a similar watch in size and vintage lume.

If it isn't a limited number model then some level of discount may be possible which might make it less of a financial sting. Personally I'd definitely need to see it in the flesh before I could commit.

Fantastic looking watch, great movement no doubt, no date, cool bracelet, but the whole "Bond, 007" association kills it for me, especially with "007" etched onto the case back.

First thing I thought when I saw a picture.
Isnt illegal to use the broadarrow/pheon/crowsfoot without permission?

I’m hoping that mesh becomes generally available. Love the whole thing but too steeply priced for my liking.

I think it has some lovely elements - I love the faux vintage lume (I'm not generally a vintage fan) and the bracelet.

But it's Titanium (eugh) & the price is crazy.

  48. #48
what makes the difference to me is the domed xtral.

  49. #49
Like the watch quite a bit.
First titanium mesh I have seen
If it is not an LE, prices will be much more affordable in secondary market.
