Grand Seiko open a pop-up store in Burlington Arcade

Didn’t see that coming... A Grand Seiko only store for Burlington Arcade. They’re certainly going for it!

Wow! I wonder if they’ll still keep GS in the Brompton Road Seiko Boutique too?

This is a great idea. Maybe in a few years the other Burlington watchmakers would even part-ex and sell some pre-owned GS.

Should help to break the current of stalemate of ‘We know they’re really good, but unfortunately most of our customers don’t’.

    Exciting times.

Think it's a pop up. They did the same at WoS last year

The linked article describes it as a pop-up. Worth, errrr, popping in, though!

Yes. It would be good to know how long it will be open for.

Balls, I was there yesterday. If I'd known I would have popped in.

Yes, it is indeed a pop-up store, I’ll amend the thread title. Pity, it would be nice to have a permanent presence there, but (as a serial owner) it’s good to see them increasingly promoting the brand all the same. Maybe they will see how things go in that location? Perhaps surprisingly, B&R also have their flagship boutique in the arcade, surely one of the most expensive locations in London.

Am I the only one who liked the fact GS was under the radar for most folk?

Been in. Not the full collection but a few bits. Apparently it's a trial; couple of months to see how it goes and if it goes well, a more permanent fixture

Went in this morning and had a good chat. Looks like there’ll be a lovely 1967 reissue and the best yet STO range, summer 2020. Details probably available in the new year.

At least it’s a decent straight forward shop to buy from-
IMHO the Burlington Arcade has some right ole sharks in it........
I would never set foot in David Duggan’s shop again, once was enough
