    AP Royal Oak Thieves caught

    https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/new...-gang-17352144

Just read this, looks like a lengthy sentence though no mention of prior convictions. Long as they are taken off the streets and the law actually doing something about it

Scum of the earth! Interesting they were all from London area. Obviously going to Birmingham to Rob where they aren’t known. Ironic they got caught

I very much doubt it. Even if he know nothing about the brand, It’s a gold watch!

I must admit regardless of its price, a watch is “just a watch” to me and I’d like to wear mine wherever possible. I even use to wear it on the YouTube going to Sydenham via Brixton when I worked that way

I thought that also. Unless it is the photo, the sub dials seem to be a touch to the left. Not that I own an AP or ever likely to own one!

Definately fake, the sub-dial spacing is all kinds of wrong, and the moonphase is hideous looking.

Couldn’t agree more. I know I’m from the grim north and that there London is a scary place but if I couldn’t wear my watches for fear of mugging/theft, I think I’d just sell the lot.

Great that the bad guys have been caught whatever the circumstances.

Wouldn’t that be poetic justice if they got caught for stealing a hooky watch.

Most of these types aren't the brightest, so not implausible.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I wonder if the value of the watch had anything to do with the length of the sentence - if so this really was poetic justice

I wouldn’t expect Birmingham Mail to verify the watch photos they use, it’s abit like the Daily Mail at times

I agree with the above comments - definitely a fake watch. The subdials look off. Plus, it’s the usual “inherited it from a relative” rubbish - particularly unusual where the watch is of this sort of value and a recent model release (last couple of years!)
