Something blue to complement a DJ and Speedy...

I’d like to try something blue dialled, or with strong blue cues, alongside these two. I’m thinking £1000-£2000 used or new but maybe even something cheaper if it worked. For a diver, it would need to be 41mm or less. For anything else, 38mm or less.

I’ve been through a few dive bezelled black bays (...), but the BB36 blue comes to mind. Or a Seamaster SMPC or 2531 maybe. I’ve also looked at those Sinn 556 blues but I’m not convinced by the hands (prefer the black dialled hands).

Anything you knowledgable chaps could recommend?

For me it's got to be the new blue wave dial Seamaster Professional.

Not willing to go 1mm over for the Pelagos in Blue ? I don’t think they wear massively.

I think you need a diver to go with the dress Rolex and Omega chronograph. Tag Aquaracer maybe?

    I like those 2255s!

I think the Pelagos would be too big - it’s the lug to lug distance that gets me. Needs to be 47/48mm or less.

Diver makes the most sense, but I might well pick up a SKX to cover that :)

Not a diver, but a Blue dial and size wise okay, under 40mm, the Hodinkee US limited edition Alpinist. Well within budget.

I like it! Didn’t know they came in anything other than green.

Thanks, it is a limited edition of 1959 watches and is completely sold out, but loads are listed for sale as brand new watches on e-bay.com, just need to find a seller that is happy to ship to the UK which a few are.

Another vote for a blue Nomos
Or if more sporty then I think the previous gen Seamaster Pro ceramic in blue would be a great trio

Epos 3848, well under budget and within size preference.

I would go with the blue Planet Ocean in titanium with the 8500 movement (for hour hacking whilst travelling).
Not the 45mm one, the 42mm one.
That way you get blue, Ti, 600m WR and timezone features all in one watch.

Any of the Seamasters with the wave dial. They're just such an iconic watch really.

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Would suggest OP36 Blue with the 3,6,9 numbers but over your budget.
