Maltese: The Mafia Detective-something good to watch

I found this by accident on 4, after the disaster of war of the worlds on BBC here is something very good.

non of the humor of montalbano but a very gritty story set in 1976 Sicily, enjoy.

    I don’t know but I hope so,I am on episode 5 now.

The way they so causally kill and the depth of corruption making you feel helpless is quite chilling.

Looking at the “ Walter presents” section of all4 it looks like just one series but if you like this type of drama then this section of all4 has some interesting offerings.

More recent setting, but Mafiosa was very good too - and ran to 3 or 4 series. Lots of really interesting dramas available

Errm curiously I book marked the series on all4 this morning.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."

'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.

I've just looked for it and can't see it - I didn't realise they were time-limited. A shame, but there are all sorts of other world dramas worth checking out

    Maltese: The Mafia Detective,

Am I correct in thinking that the one I've bookmarked is not the one that the thread is about?

You have booked marked the one the thread started about and well worth watching.

I threw a second drama into the mix but unfortunately it's no longer available on more4 - but there are plenty of other good dramas once you have finished Maltese: The mafia detective :)
