    Vintage Seiko Divers ££££

Well, I'm on Instagram as @tunokies and in my feed today I saw an interesting post. With the title 'Black Friday' 6105 day.
From the chap who screwdrivers for Ikigai watches (in France I think)
I asked him what were the dates they were made and the price and whether he rebuilt the crowns like Duncan has just done for me.
The response was February 1970 and February 1973. EUR 3000 each and no, he doesn't.
One does have an original blue box but wow!!! That is some price.

I'd like to think so. Not much of a Black Friday deal though.....

Nice examples though and if I had the choice I’d sooner spend €3k on one of them than the reissue with its eBay fake dial and hand set, wrong crystal type etc

I compared my 1976 one (on the left) against a new one in an AD. I do prefer mine.

The thing with vintage Seiko is that there are occasionally bargains to be had as most people assume they’ve got little value. Even bricks and mortar auction houses with resident ‘experts’ often list early divers and chronographs without any idea that they’re worth more than pennies. Here are my two, both need a fair bit of work but both are at least all original.
