When it happens on my ipad, is usually because the image is protected from being dowloaded. In this cases I use the low-quality screen capture
Normally i dont have a problem with this but tried to save some pics from an incoming email to my iPad but its not playing ball.
I usually tap and hold the pic and a box pops up and i choose save image, this then puts the pic into my photos but today for some reason this is not happening. The save image box pops up and i choose to save the image buts its not appearing in my photos.
Any idea what’s going on?

Check in albums or restart the device and try again.
