They should only be allowed for guide dogs and the police.
Any other public ownership is too high a price to pay for something that kills indiscriminately.

And then there is drugs. 6000 avoidable deaths from their misuse. And that doesn’t include alcohol.
Dogs, Drugs and Alcohol are not designed with the principal aim of killing, guns are!

Your supposed 'comparisons' simply don't stand up to even basic scrutiny.

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

It was still a Labour policy for early release.
And anonymous blogs aren’t necessarily factual.

And the suggestion of banning legal firearms doesn’t stand up to basic common sense.
Drugs, cars and alcohol are not designed to kill yet somehow they do, in their thousands.
If the laws were tighter there would be less deaths, way way more than a firearms ban would stop (in the U.K).

Anyway this is a BP topic so that’s the last I’ll say on the topic.

Then why did Johnson use that “anonymous blog” as a source for his Twitter statements then?
Are you suggesting Johnson makes stuff up for his media channel statements without checking facts?

Also, in the USA, over 2/3rds of gun related deaths are suicide. Most suicide attempts fail, except where there is a gun involved.

Yes because getting up to the first floor of your house would be safer without stairs wouldn't it?

You would have to ask him that.

I don't remember suggesting that at all. Perhaps you could remind me where I did?

I've met a few Jack Russels who could test that assertion!

Approx 30-50 people are killed every year by dogs, just in the US. With between 6-10k being hospitalised.

In the UK it around 3-4 people are killed every year. No idea about the number being hospitalised, but imagine it runs into hundreds.

You should add a useless statistic every day - you're bound to get your point across, then !
