Easier to repvd.
I realise some will throw their hands up in horror over this but has anyone had reasonable success in painting over scratches/marks on a PVD watch case? I am not looking to tart up a watch for selling on. It's purely to satisfy myself.

If you don't want to splash out getting the whole case stripped back and re done then I would recommend cerakote.
It is a very durable finish that is often used on firearms, can be DIY'd and produces a great finish. Just ensure the case in completely clean, ultrasonic, then dry then acetone with a lint free cloth.
Don't use it to patch up areas, just go over the pvd and do the whole case.
Thank you all. I guess I was being optimistic thinking there might be a quick diy fix that wouldn't be noticeable. However a re coating is probably the best option. I will investigate your suggestions.
KIJ were good.
