Olight sale and ‘free’ UV torch

I know a few of us did this last year with the free AAA torch but for existing customers you can get a free UV AAA torch (which ties in nicely with the watch/glow addicts)

Yes it’s £4.95 post so not strictly free but it’s pretty much £10 cheaper than normal avenues?

If you’re not a customer already you can get their superb AAA keychain light for £4.95 delivery.

Nothing more to do than sign in (or up) on https://www.olightstore.uk and add either to your cart.

No probs, thanks for the correct link!

A fellow flashaholic! I used to have a lot of torches but thinned them down a bit to the point I have more watches (I think)

I don’t know how people get by without a decent torch or twenty!

I have some rather nice ones but at home I mostly go for my simple led lenser.
what I found out was that the bad reputation was from fakes, some sold on Amazon you wouldn't think it was worth it.

Thanks for the heads up James. I was thinking about a new torch just a day or so ago, and needed some retail therapy. Bought 2 torches, got 3 free.

I got my UV one last week and got another normal AAA sent to my gf’s address.

The UV one is quite interesting actually. Quite fun to look round the kitchen and see where you haven’t cleaned properly! Surely if you’re an OCD cleaner you need a UV torch! Quite amazing how much lume compound I’ve managed to get in various places around my work bench (switches etc) over the years when reluming people’s watches too!

It’s also fun to light up your watch collection!

Picked up a Baldr pro they sent me something completely different. I suspect they don’t sell many baldr. Easily sorted and I now have the correct torch and the little free key ring torch which is very bright indeed.

Had a quick look. Seems all the freebies are gone.

Browsing the site...wow! Didn't realise torches could be so expensive!

Sorry about that. Have you got any titanium lights? Probably my favourite little light is my Sunwayman V10R titanium. I started fitting some tritium vials into the head through the cooling fins too.

I run a 10440 li-ion battery in my old Olight key ring torch, that blows people’s minds!

    That's interesting, but potentially dangerous?

Is there an easy way of telling? I got 2 different types of AAA key chain lights with my order, and at present just use some rechargeable energizer batteries.

If they don’t come with a spec sheet, then google the model name, someone on one of the torch forums will have talked about it.

From the Olight i3T manual: "Please do NOT use batteries other than the ones mentioned in the "available batteries", especially rechargeable lithium batteries, otherwise it could lead to the damage of the flashlight, or unexpected danger." "Available Batteries" includes AAA alkaline, lithium (ie the non-rechargeable variety) and NiMH batteries.

I use it in the older light (had the mount hole in a different place) have done for years. It’s not recommended but then again I only use it for short bursts for the fun factor.

Cheers Pickle. That was the torch I was thinking of. I'll stick to my NiMH.

    Thanks for the heads up.

I already have an i1R 2 (paid about £12 for it a couple of months ago) but it's a nice little thing and no harm in having another one - even though it's not quite in the same league as my Nitecore TIKI GITD as a keychain torch.
