tag heuer carrera calibre 1887 CAR2140.FC8145 41 Rose Gold Value

Ive been offered the above piece with a significant discount but its old stock and there is very little information available, yes its a tag and I know there isn't much love for them but surely Im not going to lose at that price?

I can only find them on a few american sites between $12-14000 and originally with a. uk rrp of £12,150

Any thoughts appreciated as although ill prob keep it I do tend to flip after a while

    Thanks in advance

If you are buying just because you like the look, and want to try without the risk of losing your pants when you come to sell, then it is probably not the piece to buy. The fact that it has appeared brand new at that price in an TAG outlet tells you all you need to know about the RRP, and discounts readily available on new pieces

Try having a look for similar pieces on eBay - what they sold for, not what they were listed at
Also ask this community if they would be willing to part with around £6k to own one second hand..

    Personally, I wouldn’t buy one

60% off so just over £4200 is what I can get it for

If that’s the case get it and I will buy it off you if you don’t like it. Love a bit of Rose Gold

I retract my comment, clearly if you’re buying it at that price (60% off?) then the bath you’ll take (if any) will not be bad

At that price go for it!

I owned the steel model with black dial about 6 years ago, it was a great watch and exceptionally well made.

Ok you mentioned 6k on the other thread. If you can get for 4.2k then less of a risk but you would still need to find a buyer if you did want to move it on - you may have one below, but it still wouldn’t tempt me at that price
