Treasures from the wreck of the unbelievable..

Quite possibly the best diving/treasure hunting documentary/film I've ever watched. (And I've watched a fair few!)

The hoard (actually art from an exhibition) that they sneak into this is mind blowing.

If you haven't already watched it, please watch it when you can.

It's available to watch on Netflix.

    Hoard from a 'fake' shipwreck?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I know that it's a fake shipwreck and the hoard is really art from an exhibition.. But still, it's a really amazing documentary/film to watch.

Well worth 70 minutes of your time.

I saw the exhibition when it was in Venice a coulpe of years ago, although not a fan of Damien Hirst it was certainly impressive. ;-)

    Totally agree.

But Mickey Mouse's appearance kind of spoiled it for me at the end.

I'd love to see it, his work looks amazing.

If only it was a real hoard!

But if you didn't know, it's filmed so well that it's almost believable..

So it's basically a marketing stunt?

Think I'll just stick to atlantis the lost empire (in part because I don't have Netflix :p)

I suppose it is, but definitely worth watching nonetheless.. It's put together incredibly well.

And still no one has said what the film is called,,
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."

As my 'go to' dive advisor Mike, what's your opinion?

I thought it was good, I think most people that like to get in the water will watch pretty much anything about it, add to that the statues / arty stuff it's a winner .

I was intrigued by this thread and watched on Netflix. About 30 mins in, for us Dutch, it was clear that this is a fake. A professor from the University of Zwolle had a short moment of fame... Zwolle is 20mins away from where I live and has no university. I loved the end-shot with the Mickey Mouse statue.

Nevertheless, a great film; I take my hat off for Hirst!
