Investigators Recommend Boeing retrofit the engines of nearly 7,000 aircraft.

To prevent a repeat of Southwest Airlines’ fatal accident, investigators Recommend Boeing retrofit the engines of nearly 7,000 aircraft. If I had any shares in the company, I'd be very worried.

It's the cowling and the requirement is to get the airline operators to do the refit.

Actual new engines? Who makes them? Perhaps they'll be popping the champagne corks in Derby. Or are they liable?

Would the engine housing and cowling not have been designed by Boeing? So surely this is a Boeing problem?
