I have a Repel Umbrella. It’s inexpensive, compact, sturdy, well reviewed. I keep mine in a satchel.

Must be a sign of ageing but having resisting carrying an umbrella for years I am now bored of getting soaked. Also have a new job that requires a uniform so more important I don’t turn up wet through.
Any recommendations for a small umbrella that I can throw in backpack - loads on the usual sites and all claim to be the lightest, strongest, etc, etc but prices vary so much I don’t really want to spend loads unless it’s bomb proof

I have one of these. Lasted very well and still going strong despite being turned inside out a few times.
Can’t find it now but I asked the same question last year, some great answers I bought a Davek one .
Fulton do a decent range.

I was going to recommend their travel umbrella which unscrews, Day of the Jackal-style, to fit in a suitcase but they no longer seem to do it. I love mine.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
A good call by C-B there is also Fox who still do the packable full size.
