Me too, mine make a horrible sound but only sometimes.
I really wouldn't want WD40 anywhere near a vehicle that I own. It will actually eat away at rubber & plastic over time.

It’ll likely be the cleaning and lubricating of the rubber that makes the improvement, rather than WD40 itself.
Video will almost certainly be a viral/influencer ad paid for by WD40.
I’d say any waxy car soap solution would do much the same.

Rub a cloth soaked in WD40 along your wiper blades to remove black shit.
use a clean cloth to wipe dry
Use glass cleaner on windscreen.

Think about it, all of those products to get oil and grease off of your windscreen
Baby wipes or hand wipes do the same job , also remember to clean the well/ parking space the blades sit in, since thats where the crap builds up.
Surely isopropyl alcohol would be more suited to wiper blades, as it wont leave grease on the screen?
Or just use a couple of 'screen wipes' from the office store cupboard, which are generally the same thing.
Spray Wd40 on a cloth - clea the blades - then - with the wipers "up" clean the full windscreen with a Wd40 moist rag - easy as.

Bosch Aerorwin blades are the best I've ever found. Can't see past them. If you'll excuse the pun. Any standard household window cleaner will be good enough to clean a windscreen. No need to spend money on fancy stuff. Though RainX is excellent stuff if you want to keep it clean. If the wiper blades have been on for a while then they are probable past their best. I wouldn't bother trying to clean them, just replace. I change mine once a year.

I expect you will find little difference unless you replace the blades. Tired blades will give a smear effect.
