One of my favourite films, and surely one of yours too

Easy opportunity for the BBC to get Ken Loach on the telly during an election campaign.
So right, that Ken Loach is a dangerous, manipulative, propagandist.
I was a Manchester City supporting, Conservative voter, then watched a double bill of ‘Looking For Eric’ and ‘I Daniel Blake’ and came out the other side as a United supporting, socialist.

Superb film.Brian Glover is absolutely brilliant in it.
'Denis Law's in t'wash' is one of the best film quotes of all time.
Over the years I've met a few people who've been extras in it or known some of the 'actors'
That most of the cast had never acted before probably makes the film all the better.

I had read that the kestrel in the original filmed belonged to captain Robert Nairac , who was murdered by the IRA .
Really enjoyed the programme,
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."
'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.
