I've used this for a while, supporting the local air ambulance.
Well worth it.
As the Christmas shopping season approaches I thought it would be a good time to promote awareness of Amazon Smile which is an automatic way to support a charity of your choice when you shop, at no additional cost to you. Amazon make a small donation for all eligible products (seems to be most of their stock) and you can choose to support one of their highlighted charities or search from a list of hundreds more. Although it's just 0.5% it all adds up - around two million quid has gone to charities so far and CLIC Sargent which we've chosen is better off to the tune of £65,686.36. Every little helps.
It's exactly the same as using amazon.co.uk, but you need to use the URL: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/
FAQs here: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/chpf/about

I am also a donator to a similar group but couldn't locate the charity on the Amazon dropdown list.
So I called the income resource director of the group - she gave me 10 reasons why they hadn't already done it and another 10 for why it will take six months to do. She wanted to talk and talk and talk..........
I was amazed at the apparent apathy and ignotech. :-(
I will have to do more digging on this.

If it’s not on the drop down you can type the name.

Matthew, not wishing to sidetrack a great cause but just offer an alternative......
I use Giveasyoulive which works on same principles, has 4000+ retailers & you can give to 200k charities (CLIC is there, I checked). I mention it because in the case of Amazon they do up to 1.5%.
I've used it for a couple of years & they have some people that give 7.5% so it hasn't been difficult to rack up £600 to my charities from my spending.
Apologies if inappropriate but wanted to point out the higher %.

Excellent info, I had no idea. That's the idea of a thread like this, to raise awareness.
Cheers

Edit - just checked the donation rates and I don't feel quite so bad about missing Give as you Live for Amazon as most of my stuff comes under 'Other Sale' but I'll definitely start using it for online shopping.

Ok, sorry
I thought they had linked to a database of all charities. But thinking about it it would raise eyebrows as to where the funds came from
