    Carwow YouTube channel

I don't think I've seen it mentioned, but Carwow have a YouTube channel where they do good old fashioned car reviews. The presenter, Mat Watson, is likeable, and there's a really good selection of car reviews to choose from.

    Example:

I watch a lot of Mat Watson's reviews. He's a likeable chap and I find his reviews quite informative and watchable. My favourite inclusion is the stick of truth.

Yep. I've watched loads of them. Well worth a look if you're considering buying anything.

Watched him some time ago and the reviews and the cars were all relevant to everyday car buyers.

Of late he's gone a bit suprcar ...ish

So I've stopped watching the channel and in fact a lot of other car channels that are superficial or run by "influencers" (which is most)

Savagegeese (US) does thorough reviews and Autogerfuhl (EU - though almost to the point of boredom in some cases)

Yeah gone a bit "crowd pleasing" recently, the pointless drag races between SUVs and suchlike. But certainly one of the better YT car channels.

Fun Fact: Mat trained as a Chartered Accountant!

I was enjoying them until they started bringing Yanimise in.

I was recently trying to choose between a number of different cars, and found Carwow much more informative than most. However, I’ve found it almost impossible, even with the internet at my disposal, to get reliable information on current specs, standard equipment etc as they seem to change all the time - most review cars seem to be loaded with £1000’s of extras so the reviews bang on about the media system, leather seats and panoramic sunroof, and the auto braking system, adaptive cruise etc, failing to mention those are standard on eg the VW, but available for about £7k on the BMW, although browse BMW’s website and they appear to be trying to keep the specs secret. All very odd and unhelpful!

Yanni (???) Is a chap who modifies and wraps expensive cars for rich folk. He's a very annoying presence as he gets a bit too excited.

I have watched him for a while even when he was back in Carbuyer.

I always search to see if carwow have reviewed the car I am thinking about. Good reviews of real life motoring. I like the 5 best and worst aspects of the car in the summary near the end. Very informative
