    Planet Ocean Rubber Bezel Durability?

I have been considering buying a large diver, amongst the candidates is a 43.5mm Planet Ocean with the rubber bezel insert:

I’m comfortable with the size and fit, my concern is the orange potion of the bezel and it’s durability. The remainder of the bezel is ceramic and liquid metal so should be very scratch resistant. Does anyone have any long term experience of this bezel set up?

I've often thought the same as I love this reference on bracelet. I'm guessing the rubber used is the same as the orange rubber on the strap.

What have the 10yr old+ Omega rubber straps aged like? My guess is they're rock solid?

Omega must have tested this before releasing it into the wild

Just as an aside, my colleague at work bought this exact model a few months back. It looks great on the photos but even better on the wrist.

If it's a rubber insert surely it would be relatively cheap and easy to replace if necessary (although I appreciate it would be inconvenient)

I’m pretty sure that Martyn has one of these...
