    Classic Car show, NEC

Anyone going to the classic car show this weekend at the NEC?

I’m thinking about going by train on Saturday. Senior Railcard makes it cheaper than driving..........and I don’t pay £16 to park the train!

I'm going Friday on the Train, senior railcard.

Went once in the Car but never again, too much queuing and hassle.

Is it really 16 quid to park there now?

Might be worth going just to see the auction ....

A few tempting lots reviewed by Harry Metcalfe:

Love the 325i sport at the end. I wish I'd kept the one I used to have. £30 - £35k if I heard him right!

    Hi PAUL
May go Sunday see how I feel, we are flying back from Miami and get back Saturday morning. My daughter as got me a couple of Comp tickets so it’s a cheap day, also travel on the train with my nephew for a quid. Went last year but not that impressed, much prefer Restoration Show in March. Enjoy if you go. If you fancy Restoration show in March we could meet up

Yes it is for the top shows. You can park at the airport this year for a tenner, then catch the monorail for nowt. The airport have sized the opportunity as it’s not busy this time of year, and much todo with the moaning last year at the NEC cost

Railway parking is now £12. Sounds like the airport Car park may be a cheaper option if you don't mind a longer walk.

Very nice indeed and definitely one of the classier 'stealth' sales posts :-).

Actually looking through the auction listings I could rather fancy that MK1 Lotus Cortina. One just like it used to form part of my bedroom wall decorations many years ago.

Guilty as charged. I would post on SC but I think the rules say no replicars

Some interesting machinery in ML's other listings, including that Lotus Cortina..must resist, I'm in sale mode (supposedly)
