Saw Prince in concert twice in the 80's. Great artist/performer and brilliant guitarist.
The only good thing to come from Prince's death, is that his work is becoming more available. My most memorable guitar experience is Prince at Wembley Arena in 1998 (the same night England lost a World Cup Semi to Agentina on penalties), and this video comes close to recapturing that night.
Video: 3/10
Sound: Not Bad
Performance: Double Plus Good

I think in his time he was the most disruptive writer of music (and lyrics)
He was simply radical and his use of key, tempo and rythym changes in a single work is just superb.

It is also a compliment that spitting image parodied his moustache :-)
And of course he changed his name to a symbol - up yours William

Spot on. Prince isn't necessarily in my list of favourite artists but- objectively- you can tell there is a real sophistication and creativity in his music and a fearlessness to try new things. At the very least he should command a great deal of respect having mastered his craft so well.

I wasn't much of a fan back in the day, but now I'm older I can appreciate his music more. He certainly made his guitar sing in that clip.
