A pub a couple of miles from here is opening at 8am, can't imagine hitting alcohol at such a time.
Sure a few of us are thinking the same.
Do we try the all day sesh or be sensible and watch the rugger at home ?
I’m still undecided. Might just see how I feel when I wake up.

I’m lucky that a reasonable pub in town does a decent breakfast. Full English with coffee first half. Pint of real ale second half.
At home for us. Couldn't contemplate beers at 9am or earlier during the build up. First and foremost let's hope England win; second, let's hope it's a great match.
Doesn't your mum run a bar Len?!
It'll probably count towards your family bonding time.
You shall encounter a phenomenon known as the 'same day hangover'.
You'll feel great until about 2-3 pm. You'll then have a little sleep only to wake at around 7pm to a headache akin to a marching band smashing out a parade beat inside your skull. It'll be confusing because you'll have all suffering normally experienced the morning after but Antiques Roadshow will be on the TV and it'll be dark outside. Very disorienting.
Home for me. It's one thing going to the pub to watch a lunchtime match, but 8.00am onwards is just too early. I'm sure many will do it though.
Come on England 👍
2003 watched the game at Walkabout in Bristol, on the beers at 8am and the atmosphere in there was amazing. This year, watching from the sofa coffee in hand. How times have changed
I’ve decided against the pub and will watch the match at home but I have bought all the ingredients I need to cook myself a full English, ready for KO.
Plus I’m not a morning person and I want to save my pass for the Liverpool / Man City game next weekend.
bloody hell you wimps
never done any shift work or dogleg international jobs then?
nothing wrong with the odd sharpener or two at an even odder hour.
that said I dont drink at home - rarely even bother keeping any grog in the house these days.
however on the road I dont really run to a 9 to 5 lifestyle and thus eat, sleep, work and drink as best I can in moderation as the muse dictates. sadly as I get older moderation is becoming more moderate.
support your local pub ! if you dont it will close ! or worse turn into a gastro pub
come RSA
Durham Rugby Club, 8am. Breakfast, beer, rugby, more beer.

After watching 90% of the games in the pub I’m hopping for a lack of ‘once a year merchants’ and ‘big match specialists’ but I suspect I’ll be disappointed...
Currently walking the dog then back home to watch the rugby with a few tins of Stella. Have to watch it in the basement room though so I don't wake the kids shouting at the tv........lazy buggers😂
Last time I had that dilemma was England V's Brazil in the quarter final of the proper World Cup (the one played with a round ball) in 2002.
Mind you that was played in June! 7.30am kick off and by the time England had been knocked out the sun was shining. Breakfast outside in the beer garden then we headed into town. I believe I experienced the rare phenomenon of "drinking yourself sober". i.e. one minute fit for nothing then the next minute total clarity.
Much of that day is a little bit fuzzy upstairs. We stayed out into the early hours and probably hit the sack about the same time I'd gotten up the day before!
I don't miss my 20's. Neither does my liver.
On a Cruise Ship between NY and Boston 5 am start here. England second best at half time. We need to look up
