    PSA: Amazon Prime renewal scam

An automated scam call is impersonating Amazon Prime, telling victims their subscription will be ‘renewed’ for £39.99. Here’s what you need to watch out for.
I'm getting two or three calls a day.

Not just phone line scam. Visited my 80 plus yr old mother in law the other day. Showed me a mail to her email, quoting her email saying her Amazon prime subscription had started on that day for £69. To cancel click “here”

Classic bait email but even to me it looked real, correct Prime Logo, correct English and grammar, blo..y scary for folk who click before they think.

Thanks to the OP, and thanks for this one above as well.

In my view Amazon have created some of this problem with their sneaky ways.
