Which Watch Does Your Partner Like You Wearing

When ever we go out somewhere my wife always likes me to wear my Batman not matter what
We are heading out later to a moving in party and so I said SD4K or Batman don't know why I even asked :)

She on the other hand likes wearing my Pam 177

On occasion I check the ol watch box and notice my partner has nicked either my orange Planet Ocean or Speedmaster racing.

Oversized watches on women seems to be the trend at the minute.

Her preference seems to be rhodium DJ41 on Oyster, then Speedmaster on black leather & finally 2254 on bracelet.

Always the TT DJ41, even just casual wear. I think it's the shiny bezel that does it with a kind of magpie effect!!

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

She demands I wear a watch to match her shoes...

Seriously, SWMBO could not care less, or tell the difference to be honest, virtually every watch I have has a black dial and is on a grey NATO.

This is her favourite, on either bracelet or leather.
This has reminded me that I asked her to rank my watches last weekend from most to least favourite (I know!) I may just post that on it’s own thread.

This is probably the favourite watch that she likes me to wear, but most of the time she couldn't give a hoot!!

I don't have anything madly expensive or high end but she always notices when I wear the sarb017, it's the only one she comments on.

When I'm feeling generous, I let my much better half pick my watch on a Sunday for the week ahead. She always picks one of these two, which sit at opposite ends of the value scale but I appreciate that she takes an interest in my hobby (albeit that she knows how much my watches cost!)

What a great excuse to keep buying more watches! Unfortunately, you'll have to keep buying her new shoes too...

This one......but probably only because she bought it for me as a gift.

Don't wear it often as I find the dial a bit too busy.

I was wearing my seamaster on Sunday and while out at dinner better half spotted the watch and just said straight off I’m glad you’ve got that one on it’s my favourite of all.

Doesn't like my Max Bil Chrono which surprised me I thought she'd like it.

    Is indifferent to my Speedy.

Think's my G-shocks look like 'kids watches'

Hmmm.... better keep buying to find one she likes....

Haha, nice. My wife would hate that, just as she hates most of my collection which by coincidence are mostly seventies pieces.

I don't bother asking anymore and the wife refuses to comment. I'd ask, 'do like this' and she would reply 'is there any point, you'll only sell it next week'. In the main she was of course right 😂

I usually default to my SD43 ,she on the other hand prefers Panerai or Sothis.
She is encouraging me to sell several and buy a VC or Lange though...

She doesn’t care, she’s got no interest in watches as she doesn’t wear them herself. I’ve been trying to buy her a special watch for ages but from all the Rolexes, Cartiers, omegas etc the only watch she has said she half-liked was an Olivia Burton! Fortunately she has better taste in men :)

    Favourites, Seiko 6105-8009 & 6309

    Least favourite yellow dial Pogue.

I don’t exactly get compliments on the divers she likes but I always get comments when I’m wearing the yellow Pogue! “I really don’t like that” yeah, so you said last time I wore it!

In spite of having 7 watches herself (a fact that seems to constantly surprise her ), Mrs Mycroft has no interest in mine whatsoever.

Bizarrely, the only watch of mine she’s ever commented on favourably is my brass-cased Maranez Layan (a watch I thought she would hate!).

    Panerai or Hulk.
I thought initially that this was quite nice, having someone take an interest in my watches as nobody ever really does.
However, it didnt take long for me to realise that this is so she could thieve my smaller ones.

BB58. When she can be bothered.

She’s actually a bit of a watch fan herself but doesn’t really get the whole collecting thing.

One of my recent purchases , she likes the fact that the dial “is different from all the other black dialled watches”
That said she acknowledges that I like watches and has been very tolerant of my spending over the years.

My wife used to moan when I had a number of expensive watches to choose from (seadweller, Kermit sub, Panerai 111) - I sold all my expensive Swiss watches when I became tired of it all (cost of servicing, insurance, the fact I could sell them all for a lot more than I paid) and now she moans when we go out for dinner and I wear a g shock! She often points out expensive watches in magazines but doesn’t seem to have grasped that I have zero interest in paying £1000’s for a watch any more (there’s other stuff I’m interested in now) - but interesting that she actually used to like me wearing a flashy status symbol (which is what they are to her, I just like gadgets of which watches were an example when they were cheaper!)
