At least it's a Daytona that you can actually buy, so one up on Rolex there. Strangely I like it, I think the bits of Orange appeal, but I have to say it's not the most legible of dials.

It certainly packs pressence and excellent craftsmanship.
Depending on the ensemble accompanying it I fear it may just look like a hooky knockoff - but then don't they all 😆

It certainly shares the unaltered Daytona's "foible" of being difficult to read the time. ;)

it's better than that awful Montoya version shown on their site but come resale I think you might find a lack of buyers. Obviously the Rolex warranty has gone - would they even repair/service it or would it have to go back to the makers. They cant be making many of these given there is a 100 yr wait/body part exchange for the ss model. Who gets the warranty card?

They're not using the current model. The ceramic bezel is one they've made themselves.

Don't really like the idea of a handwound with a screw-down crown, although I had a Tudor of that description myself, once. But it's not really aimed at me.

I think they've made a really nice job of that and they've stuck with Daytona tradition in making it difficult to read.

Anyone who has handled a Daytona would know that it is not hard to read at all. Pics can be misleading.

I think it looks cracking. But the flaw is as noted by mono:

Easy enough to read in most natural light, more difficult to read the sub dials at a glance in direct sunlight.

More difficult to read with artificial light. Perhaps most owners don’t wear the watch outside, hence thinking it difficult to tell the time.

I get it but Rolex are no Blancpain when it comes to movement aesthetics..

Don't like it one bit. I'll get my cost.
    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
