Hi,
A mate of mine has a 1960s Omega Constellation which needs a service.
He needs a good service centre/person.
Can anyone make recommendation?

Omega Service Centre will be able to deal with that.
If he phones them up they will send him a service pack so he can send the watch directly to them. When complete, they will post it back to him via RMSD.
Couldn’t be easier.
Simon Freese Watchmakers are excellent. They will also send you out a pack to ship your watch to him in.

Depends what he wants
If he wants a brand new watch with all the original dial and case completely removed and replaced with new or refinished then send to a Omega service centre - who will probably send back to Omega in Bienne. This wont be cheap !!!!
If he wants to sympathetically restore and keep as much as possible original - send to Simon Freese or Swiss Time services or previous post suggestion.
You need someone who is used to working with and restoring vintage Omegas and can supply the parts it may require
I can also recommend Webwatchmaker on here
Great looking connie by the way
The bracelet needs a lot of TLC!
I'd recommend sending it to our forum's very own walkerwek1958 :)
Owing to non watch-related uncertainties over the next few weeks/months I'm not looking to take many jobs on, but this is the type of job I can sort out easily. I`m in the middle of a house deal and my time could be totally taken up for a while if things go to plan, but the situation is somewhat 'fluid'. Having a drawer full of watches to sort out isn`t ideal at the moment.
Sending it to Omega or STS will result in a good outcome but it'll also be the most expensive option..........it's a case of horses for courses.
That bracelet looks goosed! Walkerwek1958 wouldn’t touch it unless he was certain of delivering a good job.
(Paul put my ‘new’ Seamaster day date on the back burner if you are busy mate).
