looks nice, but it's just a different bezel to a standard ocean one. Not sure the price hike is justified.

I agree, but Steinhart have used that bezel on a few watches lately including the gold case model. Not for me I'm afraid.

i quite like that . i have a Steinhart GMT Black/Red and it is a very well made watch. so im sure that ocean 1 wont disappoint on the wrist

I like cyclops and ı hate yatch master bezel so not for me

I like that too, although I wish they would drop that hour hand and replace it with one where the stem does not swell outwards towards the mercedes circle. I appreciate that this is a really minor point but it makes the hand look ugly, to my eye.

I owned ocean one with a green bezel these black bezels just don't do it for me

I really like that but I would need to see it in person to judge if the bezel works. I also wonder if it would always be a different colour/tone to the dial as I found this very offputting with the ceramic PO's.

How good would you expect the quality of a Steinhart to be?

Even better, Gnomon offer a crystal switch service which is included in their listing, so you can choose cyclops or no cyclops. I do think that is a great service to provide, especially on models were opinion can be divided.

My guess is they offer it because with a Steinhart cyclops you aren't getting any meaningful magnification anyway.

Now that they've introduced the smaller cases, it's only the poor cyclops and bulging hour hand (mentioned above) that would annoy me if I was in the market for one.
