Chopard Time Traveller One on Bund!

Inspired by Mont Blanc putting their world-time watch on a Bund, I thought I'd try my Chopard on a Gunny Straps "Minimalist" Bund. I'm not a big fan of the sober alligator strap Chopard supplied; in my opinion this really beefs up the watch and makes it the perfect explorer's tool (for my adventures around Cockfosters). I also like the framing effect of the back-piece, it makes the watch case geometry a lot more visible.

Anyway, here's a couple of pictures...

As a big fan of expensive watches on inappropriate straps, I approve!

    Good work.

That works surprisingly well to me. A big thumbs up!
It's just a matter of time...

I like the idea a lot, and I like that the strap is more yellow-accented to go with the yellow hands and indices, but it seems to me that your Bund pad doesn't match the strap, being a much darker and plain brown to the strap's vignetted shading............

ps - many adventures to be had round Cockfosters? I think we need to be told.......

To my (admittedly color-blind) eyes, the edge of the strap—where the gradient is the darkest—matches the pad. That image was taken under fluorescent light in my office and has been through the default iOS computational photography workflow, so the colors may be a tad "special" 🙂

I'm not a fan of Bunds and would love to diss this, but I have to say that looks rather super. Good call.

I like it Simon, any wrist shots? And where’s the strap from?

    Hi Dave,

    Strap is from: https://gunny-store.com/product/minimalist-2010-bund

My wrists are sub-6.5” at the moment, partially thanks to a post-Kenya traveller’s tummy (I won’t go into too much detail ), but here you go...

Thumbs up from me too - didn't think that would work but it does! Do agree with the comment about the pad seemingly not matching the strap.

I think that looks great. Given your wrist has lost some weight you’d expect the bund to overpower a bit, but it doesn’t at all. Looks excellent
