Great watch, but goodness, do I hate that Silver dial! Glad you like it!
I found my self picking up a new seamster one that I had initially dismissed of hand with out trying it on my wrist. I initially had purchased a black seamster which I sold on the forum after a few weeks. I found the back beautiful but rather boring and same same as my other watches.
Fast forward 1/2 a year and I was shopping for an aqua terra and my wife asked me to try on a silver dialled Seamaster. I initially went no thanks, however I tried it on anyway. It was lovely and I loved the little details on the dial and watch, I think it looks great on rubber so have ordered one form my AD.
So after all that here is my new Seamster 300m in silver. So far very impressed but need to slow down watch purchasing; having a new born is not helping with so much time off.
A photo of my departed watch but on the forum still;

I was the same with the seamaster, initially dismissed it due to the wave dial pattern. However in the metal it looks fantastic and the wave dial really adds to the watch. Ended up getting one off the forum a couple of months ago and love it. Its my go to daily wearer.
This really is a lovely looking watch in the flesh but when I tried it on recently the dial reminded me of the Pampers clock. Now I see that in all the new ceramic Seamaster dials.

I stopped at this comment :
"I was shopping for an aqua terra and my wife asked me to try on a silver dialled seamster"
My missus has no interest - and cannot believe the amount they cost !
Looks great in the grey I must say!
Cheers
Matt
Wow its quite big! Bigger than I thought! What size wrist do you have?

Congratulations! Just goes to show that trying in the flesh really makes a difference.
Two questions:
1. Is the hour hand shorter on the silver/blue version than the black? It looks shorter.
2. How is legibility compared to the black? It looks less clear in the silver (including the date). I used to own the black, I love the look but caseback annoyed me.
I have the blue dialled version of this, and absolutely love everything about it. The silver dial would be a VERY close second choice for me. Enjoy.
Lovely in silver, I tried on all colours and can confirm on the wrist it is stunning.
I'm not sold on this colour combination and much preferred your black dial. But I do respect what you mentioned about being bored of the black dial, at one point my entire collection were black dialed. The combination of silver and blue is certainly different so if you like it then must make it exciting to wear, it's nice to break away from the norm.
I should add I've never seen one of these in the metal so who knows, maybe I would love it in person. I never thought much of the Great White GMT(always thought the bezel looked overpowering in pics) until I saw one in the metal for the first time, then couldn't stop thinking about it and had to go back and buy it!

Mate, you need to stop buying quantity and look for quality. All this Omega and Tudor tat is a waste of time and money.
Saying "All this Omega and Tudor tat is a waste of time and money." is rather silly on a watch forum. People on here buy watches of all price levels because they like them. I don't like Tudor particularly but others do, I happen to like Rolex, some don't.
Can't you find someone poorer than you to impress with your superior watches today?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
I have plenty of other tat brands that I buy; I just don’t post them on here for this very reason. The watches I have purchased and posted are the ones that I am enjoying most. Shall I keep adding to my Rolex collection for my enjoyment I do but I avoid posting those now. I don’t fall for they hype of Brands too much. I do enjoy JLC, PP and Cartier amongst my other tat brands.
Money does not equate better to me anymore, I will try and add better quality watches to my photos:) This is a watch forum and it takes all sorts.

Ignoring the squabblng - come on guys "calm down - calm down" -
Shoppy - I like that version quite a lot. I agree it does need to be be seen outside the garish shop lights to be appreciated. It makes a refreshing change from the usual black (or blue). I did own the TT version for a bit but have ended up with the ceramic cased all black dial.
Thanks for sharing!

I find it's the case with almost every watch I buy or view.
10 years ago I loathed the sub, now I love it in no date form.
Likewise I used to yearn for an IWC vintage Aquatimer 44, but now it's easy to big for me.
Same with cars, houses, films, music etc
Not that keen on the new seamaster personally but that grey dial is definitely interesting, and the watch is of no doubt quality.
On a side note, a LOT of biting on this thread to a fairly innocuous comment. Everyone has an opinion.
