That's lovely thing. How does the scale up to 100 work on that - what is it designed to measure?

I have never used it, but in theory:

DECIMAL BEZEL
Far less common than the tachymetre, the decimal bezel divides the minute into 100 parts allowing for the decimal conversion of time. Used primarily for industrial and scientific timing operations – to make calculations of time or cost prices – the decimal bezel is used in conjunction with the chronograph allowing you to measure and translate time into decimal values in a controlled environment. The classic example provided by Omega in its vintage Speedmaster manual describes a calculation to estimate the time taken to cut a screw. By starting the central seconds hand of the chronograph when the production-line worker picked up the screw and stopping it when he picked up the second screw, the overseer could come up with a decimal reading making life simpler when having to make longer calculations.

I very recently acquired a black gator strap for this, which looked great, but I foolishly got the the strap signed on Monday at a GS event. I now can't wear it, so back on the bracelet.

Signed by Mr Nobuhiro Kosugi,*designer*of the first 9S*Grand Seiko*in 1998 and the first watch*designer*to receive the Contemporary Master Craftsman Award from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in 2014. He also redesigned the 44GS case for the modern watches.

I handled one of those last night during a micro NL GTG, and it’s very impressive. I’ve never remotely fancied a Skeleton watch even when blind drunk, but seeing one in the flesh makes you appreciate the concept and the beauty of the engineering involved. In-house movement too.
