Engagement watch - Pelagos it is

You might have already read my original post here - https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...t-diving-watch

My wonderful girlfriend has gone out and bought me the most expensive from the list. Must admit am well chuffed. She said that when she laid eyes on the blue Pelagos, she was hooked could not think about the other watches.

I don't blame her, as the blue color is just mesmerizing and just so different to any other serious watch I have ever owned. It feels fun, more relaxed but still manages to look utilitarian and professional. In one word I love it. I love to look down at it on my wrist, as it reminds me of the deep blue sea on a sunny & calm day :).

I've worn it non stop for 2 weeks now and can say that it's a great watch and one of the few serious divers, from a major watch brand that are still at an accessible price point.

For me, there's a lot to love on this watch:

    - Triplock crown
    - Pure white hands and lume
    - Bezel lume and action
    - Bracelet and clasp
    - Movement Accuracy (-1 to -2 sec/day) and long power reserve

I prefer the look of full crown guards, but the 'pointy' style really make the crown easy to operate and do not interfere with the wrist. It's a thick watch, but the use of Ti still keeps it comfortable.

I love the fully brushed matte look but must admit that the bracelet already shows a number of scratches (is it Grade 2?). I'd like to wear it everywhere without worry. We'll see how it will hold up to wear and tear.

You know what it looks lie, but I have included a q&d phone pic taken at just the right time half hour or so ago just for good measure :).

I absolutely love mine, still on my wrist since Mon and love the blue, wearing it on the strap. The blue is lovely and the lime is amazing.

Nice gift and a great choice.
One of my favourite watches and would be one of the last to go for me.

Thanks for all your warm replies :)

I'll keep it on the bracelet as it is extremely comfortable and very well made.

The only Nato option would have to match the colour of the dial (no mean feat) or the Ti (light grey).

Yes, it was certainly a surprise. To be honest I was expecting that she will go for the Tudor. When I tried one one in Milan (black dial), 4 or so years ago she really liked it. However, I did not want to think about what she could have possibly chosen.

I opened the box slowly and was immediately taken away by the blue dial. I have not seen one in person up to that point :).

Congratulations, awesome watch. I have one in my sights for my next purchase. I love the shade of blue and think it will compliment a mostly black dialled collection very well

I agree the bracelet is very good but my po is on a bracelet and I want something less dressy for my pelagos. I found a sapphire blue seat belt NATO in George's straps they is a very good colour match.
I've also seen a royal blue and grey edged seatbelt NATO that might be a great match for the dial and the case, and may try that too.
However yes you'll enjoy the bracelet I think, the curved links make it very comfy and it also feels warm, warmer than a steel bracelet I think.

I've always been a fan of the black pelagos and never really liked the blue.

That q&d pic you've taken however is a cracker and very tempting....

If I were you I'd see them both in person before I buy.
