I really can’t think that deafness would be related to paracetamol and caffeine. More likely to be related to the reason you took the medication.

Does Panadol contain aspirin too? Reason I ask is that taking a very excessive dose of aspirin can result in temporary dullness of hearing and tinnitus.

But see a doctor either way.

Acataminophen based painkillers (like Panadol) can affect hearing. Studies show some people are more sensitive than others, so a given dose will affect some but not others.

Worth talking to a GP to get advice on what else you could do.

That’s interesting. My wife has tinnitus and specialist told her to avoid aspirin (and other NSAIDs like ibuprofen) so she always takes paracetamol for pain.

(For those interested should also avoid caffeine and salt.)

Worked for a large company for ten years that had a deaf worker.

Everyone called him deffie behind his back when referring to him.

It was seen as OK and it is not just a few people

I deliver onto a site which has a deaf forklift driver, there’s signs saying so and anyone who’s heard taking the piss is barred from site. Quite funny a times seeing drivers being sent off site and there loads rejected. There not as smart then.

My dad couldn’t speak and everyone thought he was deaf as well and would openly make comments, it didn’t effect me as a kid until I grew up then it wound me up no end.
