    Movement Identification

I'd like help to identify the movement below. It has no shock protection (I think), has sub-seconds and is about 24mm diameter. I can't see any maker's name and there is nothing on the dial to indicate a brand. The case has fixed bars.

I can't ID that from the top using my books or the advanced search on ranfft. If you can get the dial and hands off and take a picture of the dial side I should be able to ID it.

Have a careful look under the balance.

You'll sometimes see a mark there.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Thanks all for your comments and help. I have not been able to find any other marks and I am not able to get the dial off so it's still unidentified.

Is it a centre seconds or subsidiary seconds watch?
It looks a bit like a IWC caliber 89. (IWC WWW)

I normally have a bit of luck using the ranfft tool but I've failed on this one: http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-2uswk.cgi?1&ranfft

Any idea on the size of the watch? I presume 24mm is the movement size?
Looks to have fixed bars, could it be an ATP, WWW, D, DH or KM?

Yes fixed bars, movement about 24mm, no branding apart from "Staybrite" on the screw-back. I've rejoined WUS and put the picture up there as well.

Good call, someone on WUS vintage has identified it as an Aster 5. As below (although mine's not branded):
