yesterday I took a video on my phone (P20 pro) and want to transfer it to my iPad But cant fathom out how to achieve this.

Thought about emailing it to myself but the file is to big.

    Any ideas?

Drop box, one drive or Google drive may work

Canít you use airdrop, which I think works using Bluetooth. You would need to google it.

Won't work outside of the apple ecosystem.

    I would try Google photos.

I have a (very old) Android phone which just appears as a drive when I connect it to my Mac (IIRC). I think you should be able to open the drive in iTunes, import the video then drag and drop onto the iPad and job done. No idea how to do it directly with involving a 'puter as a middleman though, sorry.

    Cheers,

Ive managed to upload it to Google drive via the phone and if i log onto my google drive on my iPad it shows up and plays but cant see how to transfer it directly onto my iPad.

perhaps it time for an iPhone so everything syncs.
    Cheers,

    Ben

Dropbox is what I use to transfer files between my devices. Create an account, copy the video from your iPhone to your Dropbox and if your iPhone and iPad are linked, itíll be available for use on your iPad.

Yes but would require sending to someone else first and would ruin the quality massively.

In your Google drive - select the file right click and there will be an arrow pointing down with a line underneath it - that's the download button

What sort of iPad do you have? Depending on which sort, you can get an adapter which allows you to connect your phone to the iPad with a USB cable.

This video shows how to do it with a hard drive. If the phone is in mass storage mode, the same method applies.

Do you have FB messenger Installed on both devices?
If so send yourself the video on your phone via the messenger app and then you can see the message in the messenger app on the iPad. Once it's there you can do what you want with it.

For small files I send as email attachment, larger files use Dropbox.
