Chrono options (looking at sinn, damasko & hamilton so far)

Im looking to get a chrono, and willing to spend a little more than i have before. most expensive watch i have is my stowa flieger sterile 40mm which i love.
I want something thats clean but with a bit of wrist presence and can perhaps go to 1k -1500 euros at a stretch, not mad money, but plenty for me to spend on a watch.

I was looking at the damasko dc56 & sinn 356. The sinn lists sapphire as a 500 quid extra so it kind of pushes it out of my reach unless i get a very well priced 2nd hand. same with the dc56.
Ill keep an eye on 2nd hand market for either of these but in the short term, they are out of my range.

I got to try on a hamilton khaki pilot today and although it was nice, and at just under 1k euro, within budget, the date window didnt sit right with me & it just felt like it was missing something.

Are there any models I should be considering?

I really like the Sinn 103, you should be able to find some within your budget. If you're a fan of German watches, perhaps also looking to see if you can find one of the limited edition Hanhart Flieger Chronographs?

    New only?

You say you want some wrist presence and at 45mm the Glycine Stratoforte certainly has it!

Love the up and down sub dials on mine and the ivory face is handsome.

Worth seeking out on the used market.

    Cheers,
    Neil.

I know it’s quartz but how about a Pilot A13-A? And there’s one on SC right now.

Another vote for Sinn, 103 or 356 plexi, no frills perfection

Stretch that budget just a little and buy a DC56. Mine still looks good after 11 years. You'll have long forgotten the price in years to come when you strap your still new looking Damasko on!

I am leaning to this idea, I think I just needed to see it in writing!

I'll still try and get a pre owned one before buying new.

Perhaps drop Neil at Chronomaster a line to let you know if he takes one in trade (he's a Damasko AD and great to deal with). Also start a thread here in WTB, they do pop up from time to time. Good luck!

Another vote for Damasko. The 56 is a bit of a tube - it's quite thick and barrel-like. Have you considered saving a little more for a DC66? The bezel action is the best I've ever experienced.

Not a runner, besides the dc56 already pushing the boundary of what I can afford, the DC66 doesn't do it for me. Not looking for a bezel, particularly a pvd one.

B42 Marinemaster chrono', a little over budget perhaps, but worth checking-out.

    Good luck with your search.
