I'll be at the show both days so will most likely go for a look.

Can't help wonder how much of the predicted £10-15k is the watch itself and how much is due to the Hailwood association.

Two years ago I was stood behind Sebastian Vettel at the Stafford show, I was looking for oily motorcycle bits, he wasn’t!

That seems a bit low, Mike the Bike is a legend in my book but maybe he's much more of an enthusiasts racer. If I had 15k I'd happily swap it for that.

I saw Mike 'the bike' race on a Ducati, he was down to race at the TT on the Isle Man 1981 (which I attended) but was killed with his daughter on the way to get Fish n chips (in a car) if I remember rightly? What superb rider he was. Never got to see him race against Joey Dunlop.

Joey Dunlop. Now there was a racer. last year I was lucky enough to be in Ballymoney & I stopped for a beer in Joey's Bar. Joey's son Gary was behind the bar & it was a great afternoon!

Yup he was there for the Auction. The nice thing was no one was bothering him, he was just wandering around the stalls. I think he was after some high end stuff Brough’s Vincents. As a Kawasaki triple owner myself I admire him rocking up to F1 events on his “ widow-maker”

Hailwood is considered a legend.Unfortunately I was too young to truly understand. His death was a strange twist of fate.Would love to own the heuer.
