Did mine the other night, took three attempts to complete, it failed twice at download, all seems ok so far but, because it took so long I had to talk to herself whilst waiting for completion, FFS.

Not that impressed, I'm an old school Unix guy and this has moved OS X further away from Unix again, at this rate I can see us moving to WinDoze and Powershell/WSL in the future.

A few big things for us, bash has been replaced with zsh - easy to swap at the moment but you can bet it won't be as easy in the future. It's harder to run non=blessed programs than before - even emailed pdfs/docx files send in from others can not be opened unless you turn the security settings off - this is harder/less reliable to do than before. Apple supplied programs have moved to /System/Applications and only user ones are in /Applications now which has broken a lot of our stuff.

Annoying but we're concerned about the future and it getting harder and harder to support in our Linux environment - it really does look that Windows 10 has better Unix support now than Os X which is something v strange to say.

    Hello

I think I'll wait a little longer then.

I'm certainly not keen on losing my MS Office I've only just got 2019.

    Best,

    Ben

Updating hasn't changed anything for me with regards to MS Office.

Office 2011 won't work because it's 32-bit. Later versions should be OK.

The fact I'm still on 2011, rarely use it (but do occasionally need it) and don't want to give Microsoft another £200 for an upgrade I don't want is perhaps the biggest reason I'm not upgrading yet, along with issues eldrich mentioned.

    And now 10.15.1

After a couple of hours using it, issues I had with NordVPN and the GIMP - slowness and menus respectively - are resolved. It feels a little more responsive.

As they say, always wait til the .1 upgrade. :)

What year was office? I have 2016 and don’t want to pay the 365 subscription.

For Photo Editing I use "Affinity Photo" - it's a one off payment and includes updates - look out for 'black Friday' deals. Works a bit differently to PS / LR - but super powerful. Has a trial version too (time limited).

Mac office 2016 will also run, you need to have the latest updates v15.25 before you upgrade.
