Omega red travel / service case

Hi, does anyone know if you can buy the red travel / service cases from Omega directly (in UK)? I've seen some on Ebay but wondered if Omega sell them.

    Thanks

I don't think Omega actually sell them (could be wrong).

There are always brand new ones on eBay (as you mentioned) and not crazy money. They are great cases for storage/travel.

Yep, that's probably the best way - never thought about that!

Try it at the one in Leeds.........good luck, you’ll need it!

Maybe it’s just me they don’t like, I’ve always found them thoroughly unhelpful.

The boutique on Sloane Street has very friendly staff who have always gone out of their way to help me, even when I was only buying a piddly bracelet link.

I keep my Rolex GMT in one of those, but this thread has prompted me to see if I could find something similar without the Omega branding. There's this:

If you want something slimmer and will accomodate 2 watches top and tail (with the supplied microfibre in between):
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Spectacles-...0705730&sr=8-3

So I bought one of these.

Instead of a thick foam insert, cut for a watch bracelet and a thinner insert to cushion against the crystal, it just comes with two thick inserts, both cut for bracelets. Both feature two simple cuts rather than the 'gaps' cut into the Omega case insert, but this works well enough.

I wouldn't have that you'd squeeze two watches in there, even though the case is a little deeper, so that's odd. Furthermore it's actually a bit of a tight squeeze to close the case with a watch in. The same arrangement as the Omega case would be preferable, with a thinner insert going between the face of the watch and the inside of the case.

But I suppose you could make one from packing material, or something. Then you'd have a spare thick insert that you could use with a glasses case or pouch.

Just use a craft knife to cut the foam on the lid side flush with the zip.

No, you’re not alone mate. I walked out in huff last time I was there having felt very patronised indeed. And there was I, thinking it was just me

Maybe they mistook you for me?

It’s very rare anyone makes me feel at a disadvantage thesedays, but they’ve managed it twice. I got the feeling that I didn’t fit their sterotypical customer, I’m sure I would've been taken more seriously had I been a few years younger and wearing smart office clothing. A BMW dealer had the same effect several years ago, you can just sense that they’re not interested in you because you don’t fit in the appropriate pidgeon- hole.

I'm amazed that people still judge on how people look...
Given premiership footballers often look like the local thuggos how someone dresses is often unrelated to spending power...
