Full Service recommendation for Omega Seamaster Please

    Good Morning everyone,
Looking for recommendations for a full service can be independent (to include polishing of the bracelet) on my 2001 Omega Seamaster Professional Chronometer,
also any idea of secondhand price ? its the NON red seamaster version (i believe this makes a difference? i have the box and all papers including original receipt)
as i was toying on selling it and buying a Ball dive watch or a 2nd hand breitling.

Had some 'main dealer' quotes back and seem a bit steep!!
    many thanks Fraser.

welcome aboard. You may get some terse reply’s asking for a watch valuation on your first post though. It could be misconstrued (or not). Watchfinder will give you a trade value for you watch.

    Chronograph or not?

Omega’s published prices are £430 and £570. Chronograph being more expensive obviously. Which will include refurbished case and bracelet.

Personally I’d send it to Swiss Time Services or Simon Freese

Is it losing / gaining time or some other fault ?

Mainsprings can go on these - I’ve had two of a similar age fail so feel your pain :( symptoms for me were a lack of any power reserve - a few minutes running at most .

If you’re selling probably not worth servicing at retail prices before you do so . eBay completed listings will give you a good price guide for value - subtract the service costs and that’ll be a reasonably accurate guide I’d say .
