    BBC channels pulled from TuneIn.

From what I gather it's because the BBC can not access your data from the TuneIn app. I listen to and cast radio 5 live off TuneIn every day. Not sure how this effects different devices such as Alexa and Google home etc.

It's working fine for me, listening to R4 on Tunein as I type and just checked R5 Live too.

This still works OK on Sonos. It looks like it mainly affects Amazon Echo devices where TuneIn couldn’t provide the analytics the BBC required.

It's not on my android app.

Today, I wanted to give you an update on some changes. From August 30th, our live radio streams will no longer be available via TuneIn on some platforms in the UK. We’re working closely with TuneIn to ensure that this is done in a way that doesn’t disrupt your overall listening experience – so our live radio streams are only coming off TuneIn on platforms where an alternative way of listening is easily available.

Will no longer work on Alexa as well as it does now. I think you can access bbc channels directly now, but can’t set an alarm to come on to a BBC channel

think you need the specific BBC skill added to Alexa devices and will require a login/linked to your BBC account now

I hate the fact everything wants you to register now so they can collect data, especially the BBC which we pay for. I’ve registered now so I can use the crap Sounds app but with dummy details and a mailinator email address

So are you saying you are happy for people all over the world who haven't paid for the BBC to be able to access programmes you've paid for?

The BBC is in a fight to the death & in five year's time when it's gone it will be people like you who moan loudest.

Just tried through my Android mobile, all BBC stations gone and I get an automated American male voice stating the station(s) are no longer available in my country... I use TuneIn quite a lot, won't be so much now!

Good riddance, bunch of biased, packham supporters.

Gone from the iPhone app as well.

Still works on my Naim Mu-So and Radium app on the Mac.

It does have to be said the BBC Sounds app is a complete pile of carp.

They're all still listed on Castbox, which I use mainly for podcasts but it also streams Radio. Could be an alternative for some of you.

Just checked on my iPhone and BBC stations are 'No Longer Available.' BBC Sounds app it is. I agree with berin that having to sign up for everything is a pain and I too use a throw away e-mail address etc. for most online subscriptions.

But there is no connection between the email address that you sign up with, and your TV licence. So anybody in the world (with or without a TV licence) can create an account and access those programmes. Which makes it a pretty pointless exercise (unless, perhaps, they are trying to harvest as much data about you as possible...)

Through TuneIn or BBC Sounds? It usually announces the app/skill being used before play starts.

It just says "here is radio 2", then "BBC Sounds"

Very disappointing. TuneIn is a great app. Looks like I'll have to download BBC Sounds then...

BBC Sounds app doesn't integrate with Sonos.
Alexa no longer plays BBC Radio on Sonos.

    Ex BBC Radio listener here.

...but I control my Sonos with Alexa.

That’s a real pain. I upgraded our Echo to sonos one last year as it has a much better speaker than the echo.
But recently radio 4 on it has been crap. The echo is flawless but sonos is all over the place. And that is with BBC sounds or tune in.

Any other alternatives? I don’t want to play it from sonos app as everyone is used to speaking to Alexa!
