What year are you after?
Edit: sorry just noticed 1973 I think. I have 1964/1965 available.
Hello,
I’ve found another 2 birth year 5513’s.
Following all your advice, I think these are pretty good (All be it expensive) with cases that are not over polished, hands and dial matching etc but with this one has a bit missing on the case back and ill fitting end links. Why is this?

The second is from the US so will be a mission to purchase but looks good:

It’s been a difficult search as if I give up on the birth year thing, 5513’s are just becoming too expensive to justify.

Personally I would separate the birth watch thing from owning a 5513.
If you like a 5513, then buy one, but don't buy it just because its your "birth watch". The path to ruin.
Also ask yourself what exactly is a birth watch - is it the year a watch was made (based upon rather incomplete serial numbers data) or the year when the watch was actually sold. To make matters worse you might find the year date stamp on the strap is different to serial number on the watch, both of which is different to when the watch was sold. Before you buy, decide what you want - made or sold. In either case you need some hard evidence to support it.
As an aside, the first one looks like a nice example of a maxi dial with a type 3 Dial, but £14k seems rather steep.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Why not just wait on the bubble popping ? It’s inevitable.
Apparently.
The first one has the 9315 folded link bracelet which is why the end links don’t look as though they fit. Much better with the later 93150 bracelet.
