Anyone is considering adding it to their stables? A bit of marmite bodywork, but it’s a drop top and at around 80K it's a poor man’s California

I think for the money it's an absolute bargain - mid engined as well.
I doubt it will be as good as a Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston, etc, but it will be bomb proof, especially given the LS motor, quite cheap to run (excluding fuel), plus it will be cheap to buy, hence cheap to modify and improve (where necessary).
Audi A8 or a C8 plus £40k - no brainer.

Got to be worth a look when available. Performance figures look good too - but... Used performance car, or new American 6.2 litre, hmmm
I think for the same money, I'd be looking at smaller and more nimble - maybe something like a Cayman GT4 - they are both restricted to 2 seats after all.
It's just a matter of time...
The engine might be bomb-proof but the rest of it would worry me, it's an American Vauxhall after all
Another point in its favour Noise. To my mind on of the best sounding engines out there.
Stunning! Should sound good also!
Being done in rhd too isn't it?

FWIW, I was recently given a 2019 Corvette as a substitute hire car in California.
Same engine I believe, albeit in the front.
Sounds amazing. I have a TVR Chimaera, and this thing makes it sound like a Subaru.
Took it up into the twisties in the hills and had one of the greatest driving experiences of my life.
Handles incredibly well and has huge amounts of grip. A proper sports car. I now want one.
If the 2020 version has better handling and the same engine it’ll be amazing.

It looks amazing, but on the minus side, Richard Hammond will probably like it.
If they get this as right as Ford did the mustang as a blank canvas and for the UK market then this’ll be brilliant.

In 2017, they sold 2,211 of them in the UK, and outsold the Porsche 911, according to this: https://media.ford.com/content/fordm...ird-strai.html
I'd certainly give one house room......second hand though, as I think depreciation will be very heavy..
However, they are bound to be cheaper to run than the more exotic competition, and are likely to be more reliable.
That’s because the 993 and earlier 911s were never designed with RHD in mind - they were basically assymetric - e.g. the footwell on the LH side of a 993 is longer than that on the RH side (to make room for the pedals) - making it RHD couldn’t change that.
Conversely the 996 and later were designed for L and RHD from the start. So as long A’s Chevrolet have designed for RHD from the start (which I believe they have) then the RHD conversion should be nearly seamless.
As an aside have UK prices been announced yet?
