    A beautiful boat indeed.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I think that the Riva Aquarama is a thing of exquisite beauty, and to have one powered by a brace of Lamborghini V12's must be close to a religious experience.

Back in the late 1980's Class 1 offshore powerboats used marinised Lamborghini engines, and on the Friday before the annual Cowes Classic race (Cowes-Torquay-Cowes) I would take a ferry over to the Isle of Wight and spend the day in Cowes harbour, while the boats were being fettled and tuned, then taken out on the Solent for test runs, after which the engines would need to have their cooling systems flushed, which meant taking the boats out of the water, hooking the cooling systems up to hoses which were linked to large containers of fresh water, and run up to speed.

Twin unsilenced Lamborghini V12 engines make a wonderful, intoxicating sound.

Class 1 powerboats use turbo diesel engines nowadays. Times have changed, and it's not worth the trip over to the island to see and hear them any more.
