I've seen stamps bigger than that photograph. How could we see the details of the dial from that kind of image?
The case looks original from the distance though.
Hello everyone,
A friend has seen this watch for sale and has asked for any advice I can give. I am not well versed in the vintage Rolex world, my forte is modern Rolex. Does the watch look like it has original dial? Original hands, bezel etc? Anyone like to put a price on the watch? Many thanks in advance...

You would need a much better picture of it than that I'm afraid.
Sorry guys, posted with Tapatalk and only let me post in medium quality..il try and re jig
It would also help if we knew the serial number, especially if you want to know where the Dial is correct to the watch.
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

Not from a picture taken through the bottom of a jam jar.
Better image would be great, pm me and I can use bb uploader, happy to help.
For me and I am no expert, the case looks too over polished, some of them lugs look a tad rough. Flat four insert is questionable and certainly not age related.
Just my novice thoughts.

Sorry guys, Tapatalk not playing ball and I’ve only got the one pic..looks like my friend is on his own on this one...
I enlarged and sharpened the image. Maybe this helps?
The watch case looks genuine for sure. That's all I can say. I'll leave dial and insert stuff to the experts.
Just had a look through my microscope and it appears to be a submariner.
Is it in a shop with lots of cameras, binoculars and phones in a sunny resort? If not where is it for sale? Not many turn up in junk shops so if it's in a respectable shop surely they can supply provenance.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
The dial would appear to be that of a 5512 from the late 1960s or later.
