Which paint for my garden shed?

Looking to paint my shed this weekend before winter kicks in and was wondering if any brands are more recommended than others.

obviously I’m looking for paint not wood stain and am leaning towards Cuprinol wood shades

    The shed in question

    Cheers,

    Ben

I am currently painting my summer house with Cuprinol Woodshades (Black Ash) and have recently painted my mower shed with it (Seasoned OAK).
The summer house was treated cedar timber but the mower shed is brick faced with softwood. It has been easy to use but, for me, it has been a 3 coat job each time. Not too bad as you can re-apply after an hour/hour and a half. Like all painting jobs, good prep is king!
    Hope that helps Ben.

    Bedec Barn Paint.

Used it on two large sheds last year, good stuff in my opinion.

We used Cuprinol to good effect.

Painted a new shed with Cuprinol 15 years ago and again a couple of years ago, so I reckon it lasts pretty well.

Cuprinol Garden Shades worked well for me too - I wouldn't look any further.

One word of warning it has the consistency of slippery water so make sure you mask up anything you don't want drips/splashes on and be prepared to take your time, you will also want old clothes to wear and gloves.

It does dry nice and quick and is great stuff my fencing is 5 years painted and when I replaced a few boards they matched up so it hasn't faded either - just a bit more like stain than paint to apply.

    Ben

You haven't asked us to suggest a colour? I hope you are going for Brunswick Green.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Used Sadolin superdec on one of my recent builds- very pleasedIMG_3127.JPG
Went to a fair bit of trouble (slate roof etc) so wanted a decent job. I live on the south coast and they use the stuff on beach huts

If you use Cuprinol Garden shades, remember that the second coat cannot go on later than 8 hours after the first as it is difficult for them to bond.

This is not like other paints. It caught me out and it was a faff getting the second coat on.
